When I think of summer, I imagine walking on a beach, sand between my toes and picnics and family gatherings. Most people think the same way. Summer equals fun and seeking out cool places. Very few people think about sweating over a dirty bathtub or toilet. Yet, homes continue to need to be cleaned, regardless of the season.
Summer is a good time to get rid of stuff. And I know from experience that it’s often difficult to toss out old clothes, shoes, etc. because we either believe that we will lose weight and be able to fit into them again or we think that we will have them repaired for future use. Truth of the matter is, if you have not worn it in the past 2 years, chances are, you never will.
Look in your closet. What’s in there that you have not work over the past 2 or 3 years? Pull it out and prepare it to go to a non profit such as the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Someone can use those things. Check your medicine cabinet. When exactly did those pills expire? How old is the eye liner or lipstick? How many times have you used those disposable shavers? Go ahead and start tossing. Medicine is different. Don’t just toss them into the garbage. You never know who may get hold of them.

Summer is also a great time to meet with an HVAC company to have them check the condition of your air conditioner. Consider getting a service contract. Keep in mind that summer goes by quickly and before you know it, you will be in fall. So spend your summer wisely. Consider hiring a fantastic cleaning company such as UpperCrust Maids to clean your home and help bring it to the condition you desire. Above all, enjoy!
