Some of my fondest memories are from my childhood when I would go down to the “country” to spend time with my grandparents and extended family. The picture you see of the country houses and wheel barrow remind me of West Virginia, where such sites were common. And because my parents would always send us during spring and summer months, we had an absolutely wonderful time, every time as we played and simply enjoyed life and all that it has to offer.
My favorite season, bar none is spring. And in Maryland it just seems to pass too soon. When you think about how harsh winter is and how spring moves right in to soothe us from the after effects of the cold winter, I cannot help but just thank God for how He continues to think of every possible thing that He can when caring for His own.
For me everything lights up in spring. My mood lifts. I want to go for walks. I play with my dog more. I have more energy. I read more. I’m more likely to show up for events (as opposed to canceling). I just cannot say enough good things about spring.
As a business owner, spring and summer are my most prosperous months. The phone rings more. We pick up more delightful clients. Employees are even more eager to get to work. It’s just great.
